Academy Updates and belt testing list
Once again let us start off by saying how grateful we are to have all of you on our team. We found out very last minute that we would be unable to remain open in our Lodi location during some renovation projects and appreciate everyone’s understanding as we work hard to expand our program offerings in Lodi! In the meantime we have had a great time having everyone at Galt with us and we are so grateful to have an affiliate so close by and with such wonderful people as the team at Robinson’s Taekwondo Galt! We truly are blessed to have such amazing members and can’t wait to reveal all our new offerings with the expansion! We are hoping to be up and running by the end of this week (fingers crossed!) and we will continue to keep everyone posted as regularly as possible.
So due to the lost week of training we are pushing back the belt testing for the kids - and since we understand that would fall on Spring break we are going to reschedule the testing for March 29th - a Sunday! We have always planned our belt testings during class time but have decided in order to accommodate more extending family attending and to better serve our members we are going to offer the test on the weekend instead. The testing will begin at 11am and the following students will be testing for their next belt rank:
Allison, Alyce, Richard, Destiny, Tatum, Eli, Sophia, Gavin, Grady, Josh, Amari, Abby, Joey, Aizlyn, Maddox, Izabel
The testing will begin at 11am. The testing fee is $50 and includes their belt and certificate. Fees need to be paid no later than March 20th, cash only. Students will get the Friday (March 27th) class to practice their techniques and ask questions. Make sure they attend that class if they have any questions. No questions will be answered during the testing. Friends and family are welcome, photographs are welcome, if the audience is invited onto the mat we kindly ask that the same rules observed during class time are respected during testing. Please tag us in all you post, we love seeing your photos! As always we will get some professional photos of the students during their belting and some of the live matches so if you would rather just enjoy the moment - feel free too! We will share the photos with everyone on Facebook! Coach Meredith is a full time photographer when she isn’t Gi'd up and we promise she will deliver some amazing shots of the kids as a thank you to all our amazing parents for trusting us with your children’s development!
Following the belt testing at 1pm we truly hope everyone will join us for a team photo day! Normally our photo days are $75 per student but as a thank you for your patience and understanding during our renovations we are going to do this one completely free of charge! We hope all of our amazing student body (adults and kids alike) show up, gi up, and get a few awesome portraits of themselves! These photo days are always so awesome and a great chance to document your own or your child’s growth in Jiu Jitsu. We really hope everyone can make it to this free event and hopefully we can get a huge group portrait too! Please arrive at 1pm so we can do a group shot before we do individual portraits!
